A Hall of Fame send-off

Arrison was inducted into the Arkansas Tourism Hall of Fame in February 2026 at the 53rd Arkansas Governor's Conference on Tourism and Outdoor Recreation in Little Rock.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that he also runs the city's Advertising and Promotion Commission, which it put at a $14 million annual budget drawing more than 3.6 million overnight visitors a year. He started events such as the World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Hot Springs Baseball Trail.

Arkansas Money & Politics credits his tenure with two Hot Springs Convention Center expansions, the Northwoods Trail System and Majestic Park.

New CEO

On May 19, 2026, the Hot Springs Advertising and Promotion Commission named Devin Heath president and CEO of Visit Hot Springs after a nationwide search. Heath previously led DistiNCtly Fayetteville, the tourism bureau in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and started on June 15.

Why hosts should care

The A&P Commission is the body behind the city's 3% advertising and promotion tax. Airbnb collects it on Hot Springs reservations of 29 nights or fewer, including the cleaning fee. If you book guests directly or through a channel that doesn't collect it, you file and pay it with the city yourself.

Visit Hot Springs publishes the city's event calendar. When a new director arrives, it's worth checking that calendar for new or changed events and setting your minimum stays and rates around the big weekends.
